Walking Through Walls

Pleading man

I peeked out the window. He was there again—the almost naked man was lying there, looking as if he might die of thirst. He was gorgeous, and I wanted nothing more than to touch him, but he always faded as soon as I opened the door.

“I’m not falling for it again.”

“Why not?”

I scrambled back from the window. “You can talk?”

He smirked. “You gonna let me in or not?”

“Come on, open the door, you always do.”

“Is that why you’re laying out there, so I’ll open the door?”

“It’s unpleasant to walk through walls.”
