Beware of Geeks Bearing Gifts

In the mood for something sweet? Beware of Geeks Bearing Gifts by Charlie Cochet is one of those cute fluffy stories I seldom read.

Spencer is a graphic designer who’s working from home and has been lusting for his hot SWAT officer neighbour for a year. Quinn, the neighbour, don’t know what Spencer looks like despite probably having said hello in the lift several times – he’s obviously no threat or Quinn would’ve kept an eye on him.

When Quinn is injured in the line of duty, Spencer decides he needs to feed his poor neighbour.

It really is a cute read, and I enjoyed it all the way up to the point where Spencer decided to forget he had a brain and I had to try to read through the hand I used to shield myself from the mortification.

Luckily that scene was right in the end or I’d stopped reading. Public humiliation is my no-go, I stop reading and abandon the stories. I just can’t deal, sorry. But we’re all different and you’ll probably just see it as a fun little scene, so don’t let that scare you off.

A sweet opposite attracts story!

Beware of Geeks Bearing GiftsJulian “Quinn” Quintero, a gruff, tough Miami SWAT officer, has been injured on the job, and all he’s looking for is a little peace and quiet to recover—difficult to achieve with his large Cuban family. An adventure in picking up his prescriptions puts him in the path of his geeky, brownie-baking neighbor, Spencer Morgan. Spencer sweeps into Quinn’s life like a tropical storm of sunshine and rainbows. Not surprisingly, it’s chaos at first sight. Quinn’s in need of a little tender loving care, and Spencer decides he’s just the man for the job. Their very different lives might clash, but they might also find some common ground—and maybe more.
