On the second of December, 24 Dates will be released. It will be the sixth story in the Up North series – so stand-alone, contemporary, and taking place somewhere up north.

This time we’re in Northfield. Victor and Jian used to live in Courtland, but two years ago they moved to Northfield. It was supposed to be all roses and rainbows, but it hasn’t been like that at all.

Victor fears their relationship won’t last much longer. He hardly ever seen Jian awake anymore – they don’t talk, they don’t touch, and everything feels hopeless. Until Jian surprises him with a date on the first of December.

So we’re having us a Christmas story, and the plot goes like this:

  • December 1st: Surprise outdoor date

  • December 2nd: Suprise indoor date

  • December 3rd: Suprise date in public place

  • December 4th: Suprise car date

  • December 5th: Suprise wet outdoor date

  • December 6th: Suprise sport date

  • December 7th: Suprise food date

  • December 8th: Not really a surprise date in a public place

  • December 9th: Not really a surprise lunch date

  • December 10th: Not really a surprise movie night date

  • December 11th: Not really a surprise outdoor date

  • December 12th: Competition date

  • December 13th: Couple massage date

  • December 14th: Stargazing date

  • December 15th: Dessert date

  • December 16th: Realestate date

  • December 17th: Trivia night date

  • December 18th: Wine & Paint date

  • December 19th: Competition date

  • December 20th: Bookclub date

  • December 21st: Outdoor date

  • December 22nd: Craft date

  • December 23d: Public place date

  • December 24th: Jigsaw date


When Victor Hill bought a house with his boyfriend, Jian Kouri it was a dream come true. But now, two years later, instead of living their happily ever after, they hardly see the other awake.

With Jian out the door before Victor gets up in the morning, and asleep on the couch nearly as soon as he walks in the door, the life Victor imagined couldn’t be further from reality. They don’t talk; they don’t touch, and Victor fears he and Jian have already drifted too far apart.

The holiday season is a time for hope, but when Victor comes home to find Jian with a plan to woo him for Christmas, is it too little, too late? The dates are great, and there are filled with Christmas fun to get Victor in the right spirit for the holiday, but are they enough for the two of them to fall in love again? Or is there just too much in their relationship that needs fixing?
