October is the month for ghosts, isn’t it? Well, any month is the month for ghosts, but October is the month when reading at least one ghost story should be obligatory…maybe.
In the spirit of the month, I made a page where I’ve listed all the M/M Ghost Stories I’ve read – I thought I’d read more, I believed I’d blogged about more of the few I’ve read, but if you’re looking for something spooky, have a look.
So to expand my ghost list a little, I went hunting for a new ghost story (though I should probably begin by reading the unread ones I have). I searched for something short because time is never on my side these days and found Costumes by Dianne Hartsock.
Jordan and Bennie are cleaning out the attic, and they find their old Halloween costumes from when they were kids. The trying out the outfits leads to some naked fun, or mostly naked. I don’t think the tutu came off. But the fun only lasts for so long…
There is a door in the attic, and behind that door, there is something not right. Both Jordan and Bennie can feel it. Shadows move and thoughts pop up in their heads that shouldn’t be there.
Costumes is scarier than I’d expected! That’s not a bad thing, but somewhere in the middle of the story, I sat up a little straighter.
If you like ghosts, check it out! If you like horror, check it out! If you like erotica, check it out! Oh, and did I say it’s free?
While exploring the attic one day, Jordan and his boyfriend Bennie come across a trunk full of their old Halloween costumes.
But they also find a strange old key, and a door that couldn’t possibly lead anywhere…
